Cultivated diamond —
is not a simulant
The difference between lab-grown diamonds and their earth-grown
counterparts lie in the origin/birth-place of its creation.
Atoms of carbon, brought into the lab will undergo the stages
of diamond formation recreated in lab conditions with scientific
precision, mimicking the natural process that occurs in the
Earth's mantle. Thus, what takes the Earth millions of years
to create and deliver to places of human accessibility, takes
us only a fraction of the time.
Man has learned many sophisticated ways of mining diamonds
while bringing as little damage to the earth's crust as possible.
However, deep penetration excavations into the earth's mantle
are still a huge and unavoidable part of mining process. Cultivated
diamonds are created with an environmentally friendly
HPHT method.
Below is a comparison table depicting the main characteristics
of lab-grown diamonds opposed to earth-grown, along with some
other well-known gemstones.

Cultivated diamond —
is not as cheap as diamonds' simulants
Color diamonds are worth a special note as
it is their rarity in nature that makes them so exquisite,
special and expensive on the market. It would be wrong to
call cultivated diamonds a much cheaper alternative. Cultivated
color diamonds will never be cheap alternative or moreover
loose their value with time. A very high production cost and
the complexity of the technological process in creating these
individually grown diamonds, keep their numbers small and
their quality and value high.
Cultivated diamond —
never too many on the market
There will never be TOO MANY of them on the market.
The quality of lab-grown diamonds is not compromised precisely
because they are not mass-produced. Hence they are merely
a valuable addition to the jewelry market of colored diamonds.
Having said that a difference in the price range will exist,
adding affordability to the many other advantages of colored
cultivated diamonds.
